We're excited to have one of our favorite musicians return to The Warehouse. RMB builds a bridge between 70s soul, ragtime, blues-folk-Americana, and the contemporary singer-songwriter vibe of artists like Martin Sexton and Ray LaMontagne. Ryan has found a home in the jamband world as much as the folk world throughout his career, able to draw the listener in with soul-gripping lyrics just as well as he can move bodies with a powerhouse band. It's the kind of music that crosses genre lines, blending funk, soul, jazz, and more into one sit-back-and-let-it-play package. Even Montbleau himself has a hard time categorizing his music, but when pressed, he says it is “lyrically-driven folk/Americana mixed with soul/R&B.” Whatever you want to call it, we love it.
